AL -Kebash Roadway Bridges,
Luxor-Egypt,
كباري طريق الكباش بالاقصر - مصر

El-Kebash bridges should be the links between the eastern and western parts of the city over El-Kebash road, which connects the Karnack and Luxor museums. The two bridges have a total length of 63.80m (54.00m), consisting of a central main span of 50.0m (40.00m) and two side spans of 6.90m (6.00m) each. The Bridge deck is a multicell steel box section with variable depth in the main span. The bridge deck is supported on both sides on concrete columns and steel ties. The significance of this design lies in the thin bridge deck with the closed box sections both have additive aesthetical function. The double supporting on both sides, produce high negative movements at columns and relatively small positive moment in the main spans. The columns are jointed to steel deck by using of fixed bearings, which are transmit for vertical and horizontal forces
into the deep foundations. The outer ties are transmitting transfer the vertical upward forces to the pile cap and then to the piles.
